January 22 is Chinese New Year's Eve, and this year my family members gather together in Chiayi to welcome the year of the Dragon.
除夕夜在家裡吃些簡單的年菜，大年初一伯伯、叔叔全家再到嘉義一起吃團圓飯，這也是個不錯的方式，畢竟小孩都大了沒有足夠的房間招待大家過夜，光是大年初一大夥聚在客廳吃飯就已經覺得空間快被塞爆了。
媽媽一手包辦年菜。另外團購訂了佛跳牆和魚翅羹，省去做年菜的一些麻煩，我和妹妹決定以後輪流帶全家出外吃年夜飯，熱鬧又輕鬆!(其實是懶得或不會做菜，且懶得收拾洗碗 :p )

My mom made some Fa-Gao, Chinese cupcake, or it called Huat-Kué in Taiwanese. "Fa" means "prosperity" and "raised (leavened)."
現在超市有許多調配好的發糕粉，自己在家做簡單容易。過年吃發糕，象徵新的一年裡步步高升發大財C:。

Ang-Bao, red packets symbolize fortune and wealth in the coming year. When I was a child, I thought ang-bao was really important for children coz it's one of important sources of funding for kids:P However, everytime my siblings and I received ang-bao and soon they will be taken by my parents(only left some money), and they said the money would give back to us in the future when we grow up.
紅包向來令人感到開心，越長大越不在乎它是多是少，就當拿個喜氣吧:)，希望未來幾年我也能夠包個紅包給父母感謝他們養育兒女的辛勞。
